Just a query, as seems a tight fit at the front, have people put the cooling fan at the back of the rad, i.e so it's a a 'pull' fan.
Just seems rather close fitement if the fan is put on the front of the rad to use as a pusher.
Cheers
Depends on the fan size, I fitted a fan from an old citroen BX. Its a "push" and fits no problem. The rad is from a Volo 740.
keep it near the top, the hot bit.

Can second the use of the BX fan (If you can find one these days). I have one sitting on the shelf waiting to be fitted but I also have one in my
Reliant Scimitar with the 3L Ford Essex, it's a standard mod!
The Scimitar is renowned for overheating & if the BX fan can keep it cool, which it does, it can keep a 7 cool! Quite compact & very powerful.
gonna be a tight squeeze mine I think as I've gone for the Luego Rad (not sure what car it's off, suspect LR or something) which is quite
thick and doesn't leave much space.
Cheers for replies
Usually you can just reverse the polarity of the motor, reverse the fan blades and mount it on the back of the rad. If the fan blades are straight
with no aerofoil profile then it is not neccessary to reverse it.
Whatever you do, don't fit the fan with the plastic cable tie thingies that are normally supplied with aftermarket fans - make a proper bracket
or you will end up with a punctured rad core.
