I went to trial fit my wing stays today, and I don't think that I have the right bottom ball joints ? They're the ones that came with the original Viento kit, but the uprights don't pull on to the taper enough to get the thread into the nyloc without the wingstay in place - let alone without. From looking at where the taper has been marked by the upright I reckon it is only engaging by about 4mm of the 12mm or so taper depth, despite trying quite hard with washers and a plain nut to pull it in. Has anyone seen this before or can verify the bottom ball joint part number ?

Did you get the uprights modified?.

The uprights need the taper re-cutting to suit the taper of the new ball joints.
