Just looking for an opinion.... I am going to get my velocity chassis re-powder coated due to the fact that the original finish was not particularly
good. Anyway the chassis is going to get hot zinc metal sprayed first (50 micron) before powder coating. Anyway for the rear panel in the manual they
tell you to drill holes in the corners top and bottom and cut slots to aid fitting. They also show to remove paint and grind the chassis due to the
panel being tight. Now that I am adding 50 micron I am concerned that the panel will not fit. What experiences have people had fitting this panel and
have they drill and cut the slots as suggested in the manual.

Nope don’t worry about it chap, got my velocity re coated over the old and the rear panel still fits! It will need slotting on the bottom edge but the top seems to fit fine on mine!
Mine took a lot of fiddling to get it right. It was a very tight fit
Ended up cutting slots top and bottom as per the build manual.
The guys at Luego recommended using fairy liquid to assist it over the round tube.

and very very close to breaking it..
i ended up slamming the corner tubes a bit down..
also i drilled and slotted the bottom..
Once in position it fits fine..
altough i hope i never need to do it again!

I had to cut mine top and bottom to fit.
tis tighter than a camels arse in a sandstorm
Mine went on without slotting or drilling but was tight and needed thought about where things were getting stressed while getting the panel over the
tubes.
Go slowly, keep checking all the contact points and corners, and if the 'glass feels like it is getting stressed then back off and try a
different approach.
