polishing rocker cover
richwill - 11/9/06 at 12:17 PM

I am just looking at chrome plating the pinto rocker cover and wanted to know if i need to modify it before plating. I seem to remember seeing something about moving the oil filler position. Can anyone advise please?

If the oil filler is under the back edge of the nosecone then it is a good mod to move it to the back of the rocker cover. Makes it easier to fill with oil without removing nose. On some cars the nosecone wont go on due to the height of filler.

You need to cut off the original and weld a tube on the rear. Not too difficult....then get it chromed. Rescued attachment DSCF0002.JPG
