If I wanted to convert a Velocity to XT spec (track-wise anyway), am I right in thinking all I'd need were full-length drive shafts, wider rear wheel covers/mudguards, wider wishbones and steering rack extensions? I've not started putting mine together yet and wondered if the extra track would be worth having?
Hi.
Yes. You would need as you say full length
drive shafts. Xt wishbones,longer shocks.
Not sure about the rear wings but it would make sense.
The front end is the same on both.
Thanks Piddy. You say the front ends are the same width, yes? I'm suprised, I'dve thought they'dve taken the chance to increase the front track a bit.
I might be wrong but im sure Grant told me ages ago that the XT has a slightly wider chassis at the rear too??
When I brought my car second hand build not started.
I wasn't sure if it was a velocity or velocity XT so I phoned Luego and they told me the chassis was the same. I didnt speak to Grant though, I
spoke to the oldest chap that worked for them.
I believe he works for the new owners,so it may be worth ring them and asking the question.
That would have been Steve , he should know
