Has anyone got a close up picture of where their nosecone stops and the side ally panels start?
Stuart thinks we've done something silly and I'd like to check with others.
I'll tell you what it is if someone (preferably more than one) shows a picture of this area.
Come on guys!
Has no-one fitted their side ally yet?
No sorry! Try ringing Grant and asking him for one.

Just uploaded a couple of pictures; they give you some idea what ours looks like. I will try & get a picture with the nose cone on over the
weekend.

Chris, I was even at Luego last Friday and forgot to ask/look at how they attached their side panels.
Eric, thanks for the pics. The first one confirmed my fears that we've done a silly but then the second one looks like you've done the same
as us.
And that is at the front most part of the ally we've attached the panel to the chassis. The reason that I was looking for someone elses pcitures
was that when you put the nosecone on there's quite a severe difference between the side of the nosecone and the ally panel (a gap if you will).
When Stuart pointed it out the other day it then started to look weird.
I don't know whether we should've attached the panel all the way to the front of left it free floating so that it "tucked inside"
the nosecone.
Opinions?

Just been to the workshop & put the nose cone on. See what you mean but I don't think that leaving the vertical rivets out at the front would
have made a great deal of difference, it certainly would'nt have brought the front edge of the ally out to blend better with the nose cone, if I
remember it was probaly about 1/2" to 3/4" max between ali edge & chassis before rivetting, & at the time of fixing it looked the
right thing to do. Personally I think it will look OK whe complete.

Eric,
Yeah I agree that we prolly have no option. It's just when someone points this kind of thing out you then start to question your previous
effort.
If you've done the same then I won't worry about it.
Thanks for the info.
Wicket,
Just checked out your pics. I have yet to put my side panels on, but, I was looking at your steering rack. Trial fitted mine the other day (don't
have the rack brackets!)and the mount points on the rack dont seem to quite line up with the mounting bracket on the chassis - did you have any probs
with this?
Also a bit worried about the amount of bump steer the position of the bracket will give me - worry about that much later on tho!
Don't know about wicket's but ours did fit with some gentle persuasion. Also the amount of droop on ours is still a concern but as you say
we'll not worry too much at this time.
So a search on some of my old posts and you will find some of my previous worryings. They may help you avoid some issues. Then again...
Same as Andy, the rack bkts were a bit tight and the holes did'nt line up that well but a bit of persuasion and all appears well. Hopefully the
bump steer will not be a problem, time will tell.
