I have 2 problems the Dean 'stand in' last night could not help me with and has referred to the man himself to get back to me on:

How do you shorten the hand brake cable as I cant get the handbrake to adjust.

Secondly I got a new rad from Dean- tried lining up holes to those on chasis front and found that the bottom holes are in wrong place and the rad's mounting brackets do not extend down long enough for me to redrill- any ideas other than to take it back?

On my rad I bolted as strip of alluminium to the mouting holes on the rad (top hole through chassis too) and then drilled the ally to mount into the bottom holes on the chassis.

A bit fiddly having to adjust the rad outer casing slightly but it is all bolted on nice and tight now

Handbrake cable - no adjuster on mine either, but mine works as it is - the hadle is possibly a little high when it is on but I'll cross that bridge after I finally get to drive the car

Handbrake cable – I fitted the standard sierra disc brake cable without needing to shorten it – seems too work fine. The most important thing is to set the rear brakes up first and bleed them. If you move the hand brake adjuster on the callipers before they are full of fluid or bled then it mucks up the self adjuster on the pistons. Had to make my own adjuster to join the cable to the hand brake.

Handbrake - echo the last comment, the handbrake won't bite properly until the hydraulics are all in place.

Radiator - I ground the chassis angle brackets down until they were just tabs, then drilled them and made up my own brackets from aluminium angle.
