i second that - well????

Yes it has.

As much as i dont like to admit defeat its done me can't get it to work.

Full story.

We started yesterday by connecting up the power and earths to the ECU and the injectors and then checked that we had a full 5 volt system around all the engine sensors that should have, which we did.

So next came time to crank the engine over to see if we had a spark, which we didnt, back to the diagrams and found another ignition fed live that i missed so put that in crancked the engine over again and YES we have spark!!!!!!!!

So mad dash about to get some fuel a pump hose clips and an adjustable fuel pressure reg 1 hour later we have a made up fuel system.

So on with the live and up primes the pump adjust the fuel pressure to the correct ammount (55psi just in case you were wondering) and crank the engine over again.....

It actually ran!!!!!!!!!!! for 2 seconds

And thats about it whole day today trying to get it to fire again to no avail.

Looks like the Anti theft system uses pulsed signals to make the ECU work and if it dont get the right signals it just cuts out the injector firing and nothing else can't find out how to bypass it looks like its a secreet that dodge are not going to give up so poo to them.

I'm not surprised really as there is no one who i can find that actually does any thing with the Gen 3 ECU which is the one we have, if we had a Gen 2 or Gen 1 then no problem all parts off the shelf.

Soultion

Simple we buy a GT3 race ECU from France and problem solved its made without the anti theft circuit so no problems.

Now all i want to do is get it before next weekend

for the 2 seconds it ran it sounded lovely, i almost had to go change my underwear!!!!!!!!

Was it Loud?

Are you sure hte key is recognised? From experience, with certain manufacturers, the imoboliser will allow a non coded to to start an engine but will die after 2 seconds.

I just posted an update on a new thread so you can read all of it there but simply there is no way to start this engine on its std ecu without having the anti theft system programed out of it
