Had a bad week at work last week followed by several arguments with SWMBO, all connected with work. Made the mistake of trying to stop two 15 year
pupils killing each other ( both bigger than me ). Seemed to have sorted it out when It all erupted again and I ended up being punched in the face and
knocked to the ground. Got a black eye and a sore back for my troubles.
Any way less moaning and something more positive.
Had to take a day off today as I am exhausted by it all. So to relieve the stress I spent the day working on the Viento.
Fitted the front cycle wings
Made a boot cover and fitted it
Fixed the gear box mounts ( moved as they were not tight enough)
Set the engine timing to 6deg BTDC with a timing light
Had a play with COLORTUNE kit to set the fuel mixture
( amazing to see the flame turn from yellow to blue )
It now runs and sound wonderful…….( first time I have put my foot down and felt the Rhodes lifters pump up and a surge of power )
Just need to sort out the crush tubes on the rear wishbones ( too short ) and lots of trim then it will be finished and SVA time…( oh and one rear
calliper seems to be leaking brake fluid from the flexi pipe connection ) ( and still need to finish a warning light circuit for low coolant level
)
Ps What should the dynamic timing be ( 6deg seemed right ) and do I set it with the vacuum advance tube connected to the dizzy or not.
Paul
Normal procedure would be to set the timing with the Vaccuum pipe disconected.
Goodness me! i assume you are a teacher. You people deserve a medal! I really do not know how you do it. I do some private tutoring in nottingham but
only have a single student so she has no one to fight with. lol
She is very good really but one is enough for me. What do you teach?
