Looks pretty damn good to me

Your garage is a bit tidy....
Also- have you deliverately not tightened the rear suspension bolts into the nylon part of the nylock?? There's not enough thread showing....

For SVA you'll also need some anti-slip tape on the pedals (I know that's a while off but it's easier to do now you've got access)...

Well, the brake lines are a bit too neat and there's not enough swarf stuck in the corners of the chassis rail/floor. Maybe you could also arrange some power tools/cables into and accident waiting to happen?

Other than that, looks like a good start!

tip on the nylocs,

use normal nuts until you are ready for SVA. you can then do them up finally with nylocs, but while you are building, you can bolt and unbolt them all the time.

Come on admit it, you've polished those brake pipes haven't you

Carry on doing stuff like that and you'll end up like Razman, except he would have had his chromed

Looks nice btw way, is there any brake clips on the pipe behind the seat area?

Just out of interest how close is that clutch pedal to the tranny tunnel, might be the picture but I doubt my size 13's would go down there but I think you do need the ball of your foot in the center of the pedal for comfort more than anything else.

I'm no expert but on the drum brakes, should the cylinder not be at the top?

Think the back plates are like that now, so you can have either disk or drums whilst still using the same upright.

there aren't enough threads showing through the nylon on your master cylinder nuts.

they look to be done up tight, but i couldn't be sure.

also p clips on the brake pipes on the rear bulkhead.

thanks for the comments chaps
(1) A tidy worksop is an efficient workshop ( its a shame mines not always like that.
(2) good idear with useing plain nuts until sva very good piont. (cheers).
(3)yeh i admit it i did polish the brake pipes.
(4) iv' got more P clips on the way.
Keep them coming good comments so far and taken notes from these as well CHEERS BILL.

Oh yeh body panels when i get them hopefully will be a plum colour with polished s/s side panels and chromed front wishbones running a vajxhall c20xe full race engine and i'm collecting dress up parts as i go for every where possible, i'm hoping to have built a very nice car by the time i finish it

the welding looks interesting, especially the blow holes around the steering column bush....

your build so far however looks amazingly professional. cant wait to see the end result...

i'd noticed that too, but MK chassis' have all sorts of interesting bits of welding on them too.

i'd still do something about those master cylinder bolts. they're proper mission critical stuff! 2 full threads through the nylon i think is the sva minimum requirement.

top marks so far but for ....

nylocs - those on the brake masters and on the suspension, it looks like there should be
more thread showing - SVA failure. see the bolts holdiong the pedals - those are fine.
presumably the rear suspension bolts are not done up tight yet?

brake hoses to rear drums; I am not a fan of long hose runs and would prefer to see tubing.
tubing will give less give than any hose, whih may or may not be noticeable depending on the
type of hose fitted.

clutch pedal is very close to side panel - be aware that you are not pressing brake each time you
press the clutch!!

HI there changed bolts in master cylinders today should be ok, checked clearance of clutch pedal as well its seems to be ok (i think its an optical illusion in the photo), also fitted P clips to rear brake pipes so a little more done.
Mind you it looks like i might be stripping it all back down again and starting all over again due to GREMLINS REARING ITS UGLY HEAD>
