Velocity XT Diff Bolts
Dave Bailey - 4/2/08 at 07:08 PM

Anyone able to get the bottom diff mount bolt in with the lower wishbones in place. The Bolt is so long that it fouls when I try to fit it on the lower arm. Can't cut the bolt down cause then it would be too short.... Can't believe you have to remove the lower arm to take the diff out or put it in!

thanks

O believe it, you have to take bottom wishbone out, or just take the 2 back bolts out so you can lift the wishbone out of the brackets and slot the bolt through the bracket and your done.

Good luck.

I've had my diff out a couple of times and yes I had to drop one of the wishbones to get the bolt in and out.

Is there any way you could use two bolts in place of one? just a thought.

You could tap a thread in each side of the diff and use a shorter bolt in each hole but how often are you likely to be taking the diff out? Besides which you will probably end up taking the suspension arms off to sort out the crush tubes if you haven't already done them

as above, best way is to just take the two bottom bolts out.
