well, its finally happened - we've started the engine !!
may not be a major think but considering we've never heard or had the engine running (been sitting there for two years), nor the carbs (they
came from someone else), had to strip down and rebuild the dissy and with our own fuel lines, electrics etc .......... it started trying to fire on
first push of button, tweaked the timing slightly and there she goes !!!
as happy as a pig in sh*t !!
Nice one!
Mike
Nice one. It is a milestone to hear it run.
I was doing High 5s the first time mine started

Please
sorry, no video
for the above reasons, REALLY didnt expect it to fire up that quick, was looking at a couple days to get that far
big smiles all round
now i'm just getting cocky
"wanna hear it start?, just push that big shiny button"
Well done Scotty - You're in the last straight!
Well done Fella!
Feels good doesn't it?
I hope you started it without an exhaust fitted for extra effect...
it was a wooden shed, thought we would play safe and fit exhaust...just in case
pete's part built cobra was next to it, dont think he would be impressed if the engine block let go
mmm how long before exeter show ?......
The sound of a V8 always puts a smile on my face. Esp when its reving 5000+
Next big step is to drive it out of the shed.
Hope to see it next year at Stoneleigh.
Paul
