Ride height and suspension settings

i am trying to set up the velocity and would like some guidance on initial settings for ride height etc. Could someone give me an account of how to set this up. Where do i measure the ride height from.

I am afraid to say that I just did the nuts up on the shocks so that there was some tension there and stuck them on. I never measured it. In fact I never measured anything, the tracking, caster, camber etc. I always planned to go and get the whole lot set up professionally but it still drives fantastically. I did 300 miles at the weekend and it handled like a dream. So basically I am no help, can't even think why I bothered to reply.

Don't know if it was correct but when I set mine up I measured from the chassis below the wishbone mounting brackets for the front and rear suspension . After it had been on the road for a year or so I set it up using a corner weight gauge which made a noticeable difference

I would still get it set up, or at least checked.
If its wrong, you will get tyre wear, which will cost you money.

Also in the event of an accident, and the insurance find out, they will reduce any claim, as you are partly to blame for not setting the car up (if you built it).

IMHO, its peace of mind, that you know its corretly set up.

Finally, these cars handle very well indeed anyway. However, if you have never driven one before, you will come to realise that they can handle even better if correctly set up.

The Lastly... If its your first 7, and you are new to driving it. Take a lot of care to learn how your car drives and its capabilities. (Especially with damper / greasier road conditions coming in the Autumn)
Take it steady to start with... too many people on here have trashed a years worth of hard work, by not learning how to drive their car properly, and what its limitations are.
