When i had it corner weighted and set up it came in at 750GK.
I keep hearing people with cars sub 600kg even with pinto's and XE lumps.
I do have a big engine but no way is it 150kg more than a pinto...
Its a Luego locost btw

Getting the total weight of a car by adding the corner weights never seems to give you the correct answer, I've known them to be up to 100 kg
out!
Best to take it to the local weigh bridge and get it done properly (Your local MOT place will tell you the nearest).
750kg sounds wrong to me.
My Pinto engined Indy came up at 600kg with a full tank of fuel (no driver) on the local weighbridge - only cost a fiver to get weighed too.
Similar results with my 1660cc x-flow Locost on the local weighbridge - 600Kg. I wasn't trying to 'build lightness in', either.
I dont think you can add corner weights together to give the total weight of the car. Im sure it doesnt work like that for total vehicle weight.
Im sure it will be way less than that on a weighbridge.
Mines weighed in at 480KG,This was done on digital scales that are used to scrutineer rally cars.I think they will be quite accurate !!!
Why wouldn't adding all the corner weights give the total weight?
Suppose the simple test is to get two scales, weigh yourself individually on both (in case they read a different weight), then weigh yourself with one
foot on both. If they come back with a total = to your weight on one ..... you know the answer.
Just talked to a physics bloke here - not his area of speciality but his gut reaction was, it would give total weight.
The only thing i can think of that would affect the value, did you weigh all four corners at once or did you do a corner at a time?

I would expect any figures given when corner weighted to be given including the driver on board. Otherwise it's meaningless.
Mind you there are still some so called professional setup companies who are still corner weighting without the driver on board
.

Yep it was with you in the car and the engine was in a full running condition ( you drove it on off the trailer ). With a good amount of the parts on
board except the GRP panels. Although i think the scuttle was in place and all ally panels where on also.
Except for it having to run a high ride height due to the sump etc thats about as much as i can remember.

Viento V8 768kg at SVA with the tester on board and a full tank. I reckon he's worth the 68kg so I think mine's close to 700kg. Has standard
Sierra corners and brakes with vented disks at the front. Has a full size (read - enormous) battery and uses the reassuringly heavy Rover LT77
gearbox. Full length exhausts but no screen/heater/wipers.
