I was just wondering if you have to have the ignition on the column or can it be mounted on the dash for SVA, and do you have to have a steering lockout when the key is removed?

The only reaosn i ask is the column I got has had the ignition barrel ground off.

You don't need the ignition to be there (Caterhams have them just under the dash on some) and the steering lock doesn't have to be there for SVA as long as you have two immobiliser devices.
