anyone else watching this thing...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4552578577&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Im put off slightly by it being made from plywood, and Im also rather worried by Its history. in five years / 2.5k miles, it has had 14 owners? does that figure include the number of owners of the old donor car?
Is it just me or do the seatbelt mounts look well dodgy?

At that price though, would make a good source of donor parts if you had a chassis.
Too far from me sadly

14 owners looks like a typo error to me.
All locusts are plywood - not my cup of tea.
price seems a bit high for a donor now - there are cheaper ways to get the bits.

Car is registered as

Vehicle details
Manufacturer Ford
Model FIESTA POPULAR +
Body type 3 door hatchback
Colour Yellow
Fuel type Petrol
Date manufactured 30 December 1984
Number of previous owners 13
Last owner change 01 April 2001

Not registered correctly and probably never SVA'd.

Dont touch it

Hi Snuggs,

How do you find that out?

Cheers

Mark

Put the reg in the RAC site.

https://www.rac.co.uk/myrac/login?source=&loggedOn=false&dispatchTo=myrac

You need to register but costs nothing.

Very useful site.

Send the seller an email and tell him. Im sure he would be glad to hear that

If it was built 5yrs ago then it didnt need to be SVA'd. But it still should have been registered properly!!

last change of owner 2001 might imply that this is when it was built.

maybe it has been registered correct, the ebay system uses a similar database to the RAC one and it has listed (at the top) it as a sports convertible, which most fiestas arent! dubious though...

Sva came in in 1998.

As soon as the new computerised MOT recording is universal, incorrectly registered cars will be automaticaly picked up and have to have SVA before they can get tax etc. Don't touch!

Q: "Did you build the car ? It appears to be incorrectly registered and probably should have been SVA'd"

A: I did not build the car, the v5 log book states the car is a ford, regards joe.
