I've cut out the fibre glass / acrylic boot liner on my fury, and am going to try and make one in aluminium.

It's the first time I will have used ally as I didnt build the car in the first instance.

The boot liner supports the rear clam on the fury and im tryin to work out what thickness to use.

Any ideas?

No more then 1.2mm.

I'd have said 1.2 with maybe 1.5 for the sides if they're separate pieces.

After a few years hard use (and a few knocks) my tub is suffering cracks where it sits on the back corner of the boot sides, so it might be worth putting support plates on the top to spread the load.
Is the divider in the middle just to temporarily hold it in shape or are you intending to reduce the boot space by 50% ?

Adithorp, that picture is one I nicked off the web. I'll be pushing the divider back further as I use the car for an annual Le mans trip, where boot space is at a premium!

My floor was only 1.6mm. The option is to swage it but it's rare to find someone with the right gear to do it the days.

Bit late to the party. I've done mine in 1.5mm, 'cos I had a sheet I'd bought by mistake. Seems a pretty good thickness though, you could no doubt go thinner if you want to save a kilo, but it doesn't seem overly thick by any means.
