nodiz pro

Hi, Thinking of using nodiz pro stand alone ecu on my Zetec 1.8S with zxr9 carbs wondering if anybody has used one and if the club gets any discount.
At the moment running 1.6 cross flow on twin 40s just building up the zetec with type 9 gearbox should I expect a lot more oomph or am I likely to be disappointed. Thanks Mike

Depends on the zetec build, if you are running the 130 cams I would expect around 145hp from the nidiz and bike carbs, but this will be more civilised than a 1600 xflow with similar power I.e. Oem road cam vs pretty wild race/rally cam to make the same power.

I enquired about an ignition only ECU from Canems and got the following reply. Seems a good deal and I'll be picking one up this week

Thank you for your enquiry. Our ignition ECU retails at £249 plus VAT, and this price includes PC connection lead, software and a two metre unterminated, colour coded wiring harness. We've had such a rush on the ignition only systems recently that we can supply our 4/6/8 cylinder ignition only ECU at the same price for the next couple of weeks. (Until more stock arrives for the basic system).
This is capable of running full fuel injection at a later date (with an update), and also gives you the option of coolant/air temp/AFR measurement and datalogging along with extra maps for atmospheric temperature correction. A real bargain at the moment!
All of our systems are race proven and supplied to the leading kit car manufacturers. We also have a network of dealers around the country that are happy to help with supply/fitting/mapping as necessary.
Naturally the system can be preloaded with a suitable base ignition map if you can provide an engine spec-list.
Please just let me know if I can help with any further information.
