Right sod it I thought I'm going to treat myself and have a new van, but now I cant decide between a LWB Tranny custom or new LWB Vivaro.
What do you guys think.

The other one is Ford and made in Turkey.

The SWB Vivaro is built in Luton but the LWB Vivaro, LWB and SWB Trafics are built in France.
As said the Trannie is Turkish built.

Currently got 4x Vivaros, sell before they get to 80k miles! Gearboxes, injectors, power steering pumps, even a new engine.
Isn't there an interest free deal on the Vivaros at the moment?
We've just bought a Tranny minibus, looks good, but it's only done a few miles.
My vivaro has got to 180k, but it's scrap now. 180 ain't bad.
WE HAVE HAD 3 NISSAN RENAULT TRAFFIC VANS all good on fuel did good miles as well renault did 268000 but all died on electrics witch are crap such a pity for a good van to be let down buy the poo wiring

id go transit custom
why not go drive both and make your mind up
new vivaro with 2.0ltr engine are much better
the older 1.9td had injection problems ie: pumps breaking up ect.
ive driven both vivaro is like driving a car.
most of the failures in both makes can be put down to bad servicing ( read no servicing ) and use of crap Tesco diesel
I'm biased as I have a Transit, but most fleet managers consider the Transit as the best workhorse out there and the are No1 in commercial
sales.
As already said, it's lack of servicing that hurts any van, and all diesel vans (and cars) suffer from DMF problems after around 70k. I had mine
converted to a SMF.
Right, test drove a Transit today, Trafic is on for tomorrow morning my local Vauxhall dealer didnt have a LWB Vivaro in stock whereas the Renault
guys did.
The differences in dealerships is like chalk and cheese at the Ford dealers the salesman insisted with coming with me and tried to close the sale as
soon as we got back, the Renault salesman said I could have the van for a couple of days if I wanted to make sure it was right for the job, the Ford
guy could hardly give a monkeys as long as he got the sale.

Well tried both vans the Trafic (Vivaro) seemed the more refined out of the two which surprised me.
The engine on the Renault was virtually silent for a Diesel and really did have some get up and go for a 1.6 it was a 120ps model the Transit was
125ps.
Called into Vauxhalls to price up the Vivaro they want £14500 for a Sport whereas Renault £14300 plus £500 delivery both prices were after a load of
haggling, the thing is though the Renault comes with alloys, rear sensors and camera, touch screen radio with satnav, phone holder, autolights and
wipers 4years warranty 3 years pan europe recovery compared to Vauxhalls 3 year warrantee, 1 year recovery. Also got the plylining thrown in on the
Renault.
The Transit came out at £18500 the thing that put me off the Transit was I have the same engine fitted to my Galaxy allbeit a 1.8 and that isnt very
economic round town, the salesman said a new engine was due early next year which is a fat load of good to me now.
So it looks like its a Trafic lads.

If you go for the Renault or Vauxhall check what is covered on the warranties as Vauxhalls warranty is rubbish .
