Apparently, for £1,785 you get a body, chassis & curved screen + they will fit your Pinto engine, gearbox, front & rear axles, pedals,
servo & steering column (all supplied by you).

Nope.
I can see several points that would fail SVA (and upset Mr Plod - the number-plate, for example).
Still, it has the makings of a different sort of car. Could look really good...

You'd end up making it look crap so it would be road legal. Wings. indicators, number plate and then cover it all in foam rubber. Looks good in the pic though.
Styled around the 1934 ford, I like them a lot, if you used all cortina running gear could the sva be dodged?

im sure the SVA says if you use the unaltered original chassis then you dont need the SVA. It looks like this one has a new chassis so on the face of
it would need to be SVA'd. Maybe worth a call to the manufacturer to see what they have done in the past to get road legal.
This begs the question how hot rods get through the SVA etc. I bet they use the original logbook. I know someone who is building one based on a Morris
Minor breadvan. Im sure the chassis has been radically altered though as it has Jag IRS back axle, Rover V8 etc etc etc. Interesting to see how he
does it.
Argh but the hot rod lads use a reworked yank chassis so get away without sva for now anyway....Bloke in Flore Northants builds them to order......can reach 40k if you pocket can stand it

Typically built on a 20s chassis / logbook so no SVA...
bet there are a few funny looking dutton sierras and jago jeeps that look like that now
