I grew up with her music. Changed me completely.
So sad.

Ooh - that's cruel - cruel, but fair!

RazMan - 26/4/11 at 09:45 PM

To be fair, she was crap but influenced a lot of musicians in her time

NigeEss - 26/4/11 at 09:54 PM

Been enjoying some of her stuff on Radio 6 Music in the garage this evening.

Hmmmm!
I suppose you had to have been there.
There was no correlation with music ability or good looks.
It was more about a way of life and a drastic need for change with music and culture.
Has it really taken you 30 years to have listened to them?
Probably I suspect.....

morcus - 27/4/11 at 03:01 AM

Germfree adolesencents is amazing (And probably spelt wrong in this post).

Triton - 27/4/11 at 07:15 AM

I must be the odd one out then as I still listen to punk, ska, and metal from the 70's and 80's...modern stuff is pants

Bondage, Up Yours !!!!

02GF74 - 27/4/11 at 08:01 AM

Oh no !!!!!

.... been playing "I live off you" over the last couple of weeks as at the moment that is the best song n the world, will play the entire album tonight.

^^^^ As for their stuff being rubbish - take a good listen, cracking tunes, sensible lyrics and great use of saxophone.

= adolescents.

Anyway... sh*te band (IMHO), but RIP anyway!

"I whip my hair back to front" repeat several hundred times, call it a 'tune'. How many more 'Rihanna' 'tunes' can we bear.

Alternatively, anything and everything nostalgic, with a message from different times, gets me weeping. I'm just old, I know.

Imagine the grief to come, ACDC members, Jagger, Collins, will all go. RIP Poly.

Now I've never heard of her/them/it before and I'm not sure from the mixed reactions above whether it's worth checking out - ooo dilema!

Nope, you may of course still be odd, but not the odd one out! Lol

Ferg - 27/4/11 at 05:17 PM

'Germ Free Adolescents', the best all the '70s punk debuts.
Made when going to see a band didn't mean being 50 yards from the stage.
Real rock'n'roll. None of this Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Guns and Roses, Killers bollocks.
