Where to buy a compressor OTP? - not car related
jabs - 17/7/13 at 05:25 PM

My dehumidifier has packed in and being a true locost person set about repairing it. Found the OTP (overload thermal protection) device had gone to it's maker, if I short it out the dehumidifier works as it should but obviously do not want to run without it as it protects against overloads. Now the next task was to source a replacement and could I find one for sale other than it coming from Hong Kong could I *****. The part I am after looks like this

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Compressor-Overload-Protector-1HP-Conditioner/dp/B00900OZAM/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1374081731&sr=8-8&keywords=comp ressor+overload+thermal

does anyone know where I can get one in the UK, I have order one from Hong Kong but estimated delivery is mid August and I need to get it up and running asap

cheers John

do you have a part number for the failed one?

if you were looking for an air compressor, screwfix have some on offer today

edit:
could you take one from a small paper shredder

This looks very similar

They have a number that look close.
