Right, we've just moved to our farm, and my piddly little 18650 New UltraFire 1200LM Zoomable CREE Q5 LED Focus Flashlight
Torch 18650 Lamp inUK is exactly as useful as a candle.
So, I could do with a rechargeable torch that has the brightness of a small star, and ideally costs 20 quid or less.
Any ideas chaps?
I was with you until you said £20 or less, as I had the perfect weapon, Fenix PD35, got one for work and it's an absolute blazer, trouble is they cost around £50, sorry!
That looks pretty tidy, alas budget is rather tight for now, so I'm somewhat limited to a Chinese special.
I bought a torch from Aldi for a fiver which has impressed me.
I then bought a similar one from local cheap store and although looked the same, was pretty crap.
I do like Maglites. Yes I know other torches now blow them away, but they are tough.
So personally I would get a 2nd hand 2D Maglite (tenner ish?) some rechargeables, charger, and get a bulb upgrade, either LED, or the Xenon type.
Yes it will blow your budget, but will last a lifetime.
Might pick up an LED LENSER range one for that money
They never seem to last long between charges. I would go for a LED one.
Here.
torch >1300 lumens
I bought one, stupid bright
Look on something like Bike Radar for bike light reviews. I've got a couple of Exposures, a Hope Vision 2 and an expensive chinese Inton. All are
brill but blow your budget quite spectacularly
Sadly, you get what you pay for - spesh where batteries are concerned. I know one chap recently had his bike hat turned to ash when chinese rubbish
combusted - luckily he was around when it happened and got the hat etc into the garden.

Something like this?
Yep. But maybe a bit brighter
I'll have a look at links later, stuck in a&e atm with the missus.
I have a decent lithium battery charger and a bushel of 18650s that aren't Chinese junk, so I suppose it's just a matter of finding
something huge and bright.
Old mag lights were awesome, but the only thing useful now is the body, rather outclassed these days.
I bought one of these:

Was not convinced about it but first real use was on a 50km charity night hike with 200 other folk. I left it off initially as everyone got moving and
spread out into the hills with their own head torches. Then I turned on the sun and most other folk in front turned theirs off to save batteries.
I bought 10 of these for less than £20.00
Mini CREE Q5 7W 300LM Zoomable LED Flashlight Torch Adjustable Focus Light Lamp
Works OK with a AA NiMH and better with a 14500 Lithium.
Only use for walking a night.
looks simular to your one. Is it working correctly?
what is it need for?
I've had a quite a few ultrafire torches and they've all been amazingly bright and a good spread of light.
My brother just bought one that you can adjust it from a flood of light right down to a very direct spot and its brilliant!
I've got one like this
6000Lm 3 LED XM-L T6 Rechargeable Headlamp Headlight Head Torches Light Lamp
batteries that came with it are rubbish but the torch itself is nice! Good and bright. Not 6000lm though. ....
This is a farm must
It will light the fields, prod the cattle and scare off the crows
