im wanting some bike carbs for my 1300 crossflow anyone point me in the right direction ie which ones?

firstly, what sort of ignition system are you thinking of using and what sort of power? if you not needing TPS on the carbs can may get away with older carbs say CBR600s about 34/36mm wouldnt think you want anything to big ZX6 carbs are about 38mm, even 400cc bikes have 32mm carbs, older carbs can also be mounted more vertical.

I used CBR600-FX carbs on my 1660cc x-flow, combined with Megajolt. Carbs cost me £15 + postage, from ebay. Mine have a TPS fitted - I think you have to get ones off the last carb models.

Made a HUGE difference!

I doubt if they've got a TPS - you'll need a set from a CBR600-FX or -FY (I think).

You could fit one yourself, but it would be a hassle. Alternatively you could set up for MAP (Manifold Air Pressure) if you want to use Megajolt - but it's a bit of a PITA.

Or you could use them and keep the dizzy - but you'd have to fit a dizzy cap with side exits, as the standard one would be too tall.

If your running a dizzy you wont need a tps but id get some with just incase you change to mapable ignition later one.

Also make sure the carbs you get come with the air box back plate and the trumpets or youl have a job getting some.

Youl also need the fuel pump from the bike aswell so the pressure is right for the carbs.

CBR600 ones seem to be the most reasonable priced ones. Bike carbs are making silly money at the moment.

The carbs are easy to get , But your main concern is an inlet manifold ,go to boggs out standing workmanship at 200 notes or you take it to a fabrictors and they charge loads for a one off or as some people on here they have had ago them selves .
