No covering needed. Iv only seen a few sevens with covered tunnels
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I was a bit worried mr sva would not like the slight edge where the panels overlap.

If you have any doubts just make sure there are no sharp edges and any screws are countersunk. Trim around the handbrake and gear levers as well

Watch out for the maximum 'step' height inside the car. In the defined 'contactable' area you need either a radius or a step
or edge of less that 2mm. I know because Doug at Leighton Buzzard picked up on my gear knob and gear lever gaiter trim ring at my first SVA.
Tunnel top and sides bare aluminium fixed with standard dome pop rivets (sides) and 5mm 'rounded' head allen screws - not countersunk but
I think that how these are treated may depend on some interpretation if the heads are more than 2mm deep - certainly mine were OK.
Best wishes
Simon
