Side Repeaters for IVA

so i finished my build now and took the car for pre test inspection by the guys at MK, very helpful however they said that the side repeaters fitted to the Scuttle would not be suitable. they said i had to put them on the front wings or rear wings.

thats going to be a big problem with wiring and messing around so what if i was to

1. Put the side repeaters on long stalks from the scuttle (just for iva obviously)

any have any idea if this will work?

thanks

Soundss like what I was planning, then use the mouting holes made for the arms to mount some simple side repeaters post IVA.

As long as you get the angles, will need to stick out quite far - nearly as wide as the rear arches as you need to get 5 degrees visability to the rear.

I've recently noticed a couple of vans with side repeaters on stalks so it must be acceptable.

I put mine on my front wings. They look good there, I think, and IVA were happy with that.

The solution must not look temporary. I failed the first time on this exact issue. I bought some cheap stick on repeaters from CBS and ran the wiring around the cycle wing rubber edge. up the underside of the wishbone and connected it to the wiring feeding the front indicators. I then removed the scuttle repeaters and put reflectors in the holes.

Passed no problem. The solution cost me less then a tenner.
