Getting close.....

...ok. so it's going back on the road this year....

Managed to dig it out of the garage yesterday (filling a skip in the process of getting there....i kid you not!)

Poor thing looked like it was in desert camouflage....however a quick rinse down with the hose had it blue again....needs a polish though....

And some new fuel lines.....did crank it over and in the middle of a 'non-existent fuel panic buying crisis' i dump half a gallon on the floor due to perished fuel pipes....see separate post....

So all things being well, we will be at Stoneleigh this year......

Fingers crossed....

sorry to hear about the perished hose though, did you not smell petrol when you entered the garage?

It's been sat so long i think the fuel had evaporated from the system through the hoses.....did get a inkling of the problem last year, but much worse than expected....i posted the main problem details in BEC section...

Shouldn't take more than half a day to fix, just need to bget a few metres of fuel hose...local motor factor only sells in 1 metre lengths, i need longer.....will check out other motor factors tomorrow, or else buy online....bit gutted, really had the urge to fire it up today.....

But nevertheless, Stoneleigh is the target...

As you say, the early year weather has been a bit discouraging......
