Replacement nose cone...

My nosecone has needed replacing since I have built the car... I would like to fit a carbon nose but to get something just expensive and not ridiculously expensive is proving impossible because a mould needs to be made also... So before I try to make a mould anyone know if a Caterham or Westfield nose will fit a Luego Velocity?

Thanks
Dave B

As far as I know, the Velocity bodywork is taller than most others, the westfield may be a similar height but they have that flute that runs all along from scuttle to nose so I reckon it wouldn't look good even if it fitted.

Have you tried luego ? I'm pretty sure I heard they still supply body parts, no idea on cost though, when I asked the new owners for a price on something - it was ridiculously expensive so I went elsewhere for a solution.

Good luck, if you end up getting a carbon one made I will be proper jealous !

Could your nosecone not be repaired or even wrapped before going to the expense of a new one ?

Possibly... But I just fancy a Carbon one..... Sad and expensive I know..... I would try to make my own but I promised the wife that I would get on with the decorating now that the car is built and on the road....

Why do you need to make a mould? as you have the male plug already, its on your car!
just make a female from what you have got, and it will fit your car, a couple of hours work at the most

I would cover mine in a carbon effect wrap, if it was my car

Thats was probably spelt wrong, or had some grammer, that the "grammer police have to have a moan at

That is the plan... I thought that was called taking a mould off of what I have... I thought a buck was making a component in wood or whatever so that you can make a mould.... Don't need the buck if you already have the part to take a mould as in my case.. I haven't done anything like this but I plan to have a go....

Thanks
