V8 wiring
On the home straight with a V8 install and am starting to look at the engine loom wiring. I understand what the main wires are for; ignition, fuel
pump, starting position and permanent live. There's a slate grey wire with the four main wires, anyone have a clue what it's for?
It's a Vitesse loom running the flapper injection system.

You'd be better off posting on the V8 Forum. Or a Landrover forum. Bit specific for Locostbuilders. Before you fit the flapper system think
about upgrading to hotwire. It is far superior.

Flappy box injection on RV8's once you have the loom separated boils down to three wires, switched live, batt and Earth, you do get extras that
are ignored as the A/C feeds in to up the idle, I suspect it's that.

Changing the system isn't an option at the moment. Hence my original query. Medium term possibly a tuned 4.6 running an emerald or megasquirt
system, with tb's or twin plenum but that's further down the road. Just looking to get the car usable again currently.
