Side panels

Wonder if someone out there can offer me some help on this sad day for Luego

Not so long ago I bought a part built Velocity, the only thing I now am left needing to buy from Luego are some new side panels as the previous owner/builder had made a real mess of one making an exhaust exit hole.

Can anyone tell me if any other side panels would fit a Velocity or who made them for Luego so I might be able to replace them from another source.

Many thanks for any help/advise

James

Could be wrong but I think the ali panels were made by luego, Grant mentioned that he had a sheet metal shop down the road, (dunno if that suffered the same fate). How about removing the old one, flattening it out and getting a new one made up, shouldn’t cost 2 much!

By the way if anyone has a velocity xt scuttle that they don’t want, it’s the only bit that I’m in need of so give us a shout! Would an mk/any other scuttle fit?

Sad news for all! In the press release it lists a few suppliers and for mouldings I guess this might be;

Custom Mouldings GRP 01455 847045

Side panels can't be too difficult to manufacture, you really need to get someone who has just bought a kit to trace round it for you.

And I guess you could always try the legal guys doing the admin side as they may sell some of the stock off, etc? Just a thought.

At least you have a panel as a pattern, you can measure up and make another, a lot of work but at least you have a panel to work from.

How about putting a Vent over the hole, or disguising it somehow?.

Could u not plate the hole and fill it and spray over it???

Grant had them made at a fabricators just down the road from them. Have a look at the Luego press release post it was one of those in there.
