Finaly started my Sr20det powered Velocity
i might make this an on-going thing so this could be the first post of many, ending up with a finished 280bhp/300ftlb Sr20det powered velocity.
only just started so here's the pics.
Engine out the 200. big engine bay and an even bigger engine
engine out, it looks bloody huge!!
chassis, yes theres allot to do.. lol
had to remove a few bars i didn't need with the grinder and mod the tunnel quite a bit, but who cares about the pasengers foot well... lol
engine now inplace and mounted Solid to the chassis...
still a long way to go but the main thing is it fits...
i brought a whole 200sx auto for £950 Bargin so gonna take out the whole loom and ecu, nats, fuse box...ect. there is lots to do but most of it just
bolts on. Give me a few months n it will look car ish... few pics of how tight it is.
plus welded the strength bars back in the engine bay, hed to cut them out to start with or they hit the inlet and turbo...
Why didn't i just make it simple!

Mate. those bracing bars u cut out of the engine bay. U will need to put them back in some way shape or form to keep the strength in the
chassis....
Sorry to be a bit blunt and straight to the point.....
Apart from that. IT should be a very nice build. Especially with that engine. Keep the piccies coming.

U2U sent - well on the way with my build with the same engine - and it's not a simple as 'bolting it on' especially with the wiring
which is a very major job.
Another MK building using this engine spent an entire week non-stop doing his - and he really knowing what he's doing with the electrical
stuff....
Anyway good luck with it - gonna be awesome when it's done.
You might want to think about wider arches too - the MK is really stuggling with 205's and cut slicks to keep it from spinning up in 1st &
2nd.

Thanks Jasper PM back at ya.
there's allot of custom parts to be made but i like a challenge. gonna build it all up then strip it down and paint the chassis as i know ill be
welding extra brackets on for the extra bits.
Wireing sound fun though..

Hi Stuart
That's a bit crappy!!! Why you selling, It was going to be helpful for both of us to build at the same time, sharing experiences.
I hope that all is well and that you get to build one some day
Keep well

Right, little bit off an update, I’ve been very busy with other “projects” but now the Luego is back on track, finally finished off all the welding
and prepped the chassis ready for painting. It took me bloody ages to prep the chassis and I would recommend powder coating to anyone but as im
going for a custom metallic red I have to paint it. First a coat of Zinc biased etch primer to stop and rusting and then I nice thick coat of high
build 2k primer to cover and scratches and imperfections. Not that you see much off the chassis when its done anyway but never mind. It will look good
as a bare chassis. Next I will put on the top coat and lacquer. Ill keep you posted.. Pics
Custom Rad (needs modding). Pulsar intercooler (needs cutting down to fit into the nosecone) and 10” slim fan
