Quick introduction

Hi just wanted to introduce myself!

Just took delivery of a 2005 Luego Velocity XT - Toyota 4AGE 20v VVTi engine.

This is my first kitcar after wanting one for a number of years and so far so good

The boss (wife) has finally signed off the business case and so I took delivery of the car this morning and plan to be driving around the lanes of West Sussex on nice long hot summer days from now on!

Hoping to get along to Detling tomorrow (Sunday) and meet up with some of you Luego owners there.

Take it easy for the first few weeks. If you have never driven a kit car before, or certainly a rear wheel drive car, they are very different.

Get used to the way it goes, and the handling. Too much throttle, especially on corners and roundabouts will have the tail hanging out

Great fun to drive, but many newcomers have wrapped their pride and joy around a tree, or telegraph pole on their first journey. Some have even killed themselves or the passenger.

Its the best fun you will ever have.
But Take it easy

Dont worry about asking on here... someone will know. You can also try the search facility on the archives as well.

Welcome to the Nut House!

1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

Best Regards
Geoff

Nice to have another local owner. Where in West Sussex are you? I'm in Horsham.

Cheers

Jim

Thanks for the welcome guys, had a few problems logging in so couldn't reply any sooner.

I've been taking this really easy while I get used to the car. Had a 200SX a few years back so have driven a RWD before but this feels quite different.

The 4AGE 20V runs really well, real ballistic performance even though the engine was de-tuned by the previous owner to make it more usable.

Went to Detling today but didn't get a chance to speak with many people. I saw the 3 LHD Luego's parked up but no one was around

I live in Crawley so only just down the road from Horsham. Any other local owners around.Image deleted by owner
