we are sorting out things at the moment, its in on the 23rd to have the exhausts made, and second week in august its in having a weeks worth of
welding done to sort out the chassis and suspension mounts, can't decide on wheels, and may have found a better rear end to use, keep the
mustang diff but use mustang shafts and rear uprights or knuckles as the americans call them.

loads, chassis rails moved out to allow the engine to be dropped 2 inches, ALL wishbone mounts moved so the wheels at least sit upright, top rail cut
off and a 2x1 put in its place, loads of other stuff, basiclly make it strong enough to take the V10 not the V10's starter motor, would be ok
for a zetec, well other than the wishbone mounts, but for the viper engine no where near strong enough, my mate has already said he could have built
me a chassis strong enough to take the engine for less than i paid, i feel like asking for my money back. his bill to put it right will be another 1K
at least, and they charged me extra saying it was more work than was expected, don't know what they did for the extra money.

We have lots of work to do but we will get it done getting costly on the chassis but it needs to be done to make totally sure we dont twist it apart
the first time we launch it off the line.

Think about it...

And with 295/30/18 tyres on a 10J rim toyo 888 i'm expecting a fair amount of grip.
Would rather over engineer than under

the more tyre you add to the "light" back
the more grip you loose in damp conditions... (on the rear)
sow you cant go to wide...

If you can contact one of our chassis geeks ( sorry) on here. Someone like Cymtrics then I'm sure he'd willingly make a few suggestions
on what you could do to the chassis.
He's already done loads of plans on how to stiffen the chassis.
Cheers,
James
EDIT: I should say; I'm only saying this as I can't see how the sort of work you're mentioning can possibly cost a grand!!!

have decided on thse wheels, 18x9 front 18x10 rear, and you won't believe the price, in fact it cost more to ship than to buy.

295/30 18 on the back, 255/35 18 on the front, need that wide on the front to get it to go round corners, tram lining could be a problem but
i'll have to live with it, did you see the price.
wilwood mustang II uprights and hubs going on the front giving me mustangs 5x114.3 stud pattern all round.
