progress and wiring Qs

I have attached a couple of pics to show you where I have got to, after a concerted effort the last few weeks. Also a pic of Pop Browns alternater bracket which shifts the whole thing over to the left bottom side of the engine-works a treat and for £40 saved me a lot of fiddling to make it fit on the other side and miss chasis and hose. Chris at Pop Browns is a real star.

Next jobs are fit rear wings and get engine going to make sure I built it right. On the loom, I need some guidance as to how to quickly wire the circuit so I can see if it runs then finish the rest. I have a mallory dual point and an RPI alternator. If anyone can help, I live in Letchworth so if anyone wants to come take a look, I will offer lunch and a beer or 2! I will be at Peterborough at weekend so will touch base with those that are then on Saturday.

Yep... Made me a bracket to mount the alternator low down and shift it 10mm so I could run it off a different pully than normal...

ps I got my timing 180 deg out on top dead center when I first started the car and the flames coming out of the top of the carb where spectacular....

Good luck with starting it up ...It brings a big smile to your face

Paul

Phil, I'm not sure if you are going to the Peterborough show, but, if you are ( yes I knoew its short notice) then could you not trailer the car there like I will be doing and then between you Big John, your self and I we could have a build workshop going with the ultimate aim of getting your car running at the week end?. I shall probably be bringing some wiring tools so that I might complete some of my wiring at the weekend any way. I am also sure that the rest of the lads would be pleased to help if they could while they are there.

Clive.
