steering bush
How do i stop the steering column bush from working loose from the rubber grommet in the bulkhead. I have only driven the car a few times from my
garage and up the lane but everytime i do the steering column bush works loose. Advice please.

epoxy glue? try coating the inside of the bush in a light coat of grease

ooh ooh, I might actually know this. Shouldn't there be a large round metal dic with a triangular hole in it that holds the assembly
together.
I had the same problem and it was the fact I hadn't tapped it down the column.
see my photo archve named bush retainer(sorry didn't have time to resize)

I pushed the bush fully home, drilled a small hole through the triangular tube and put a split pin through.
Ford used a push on fix washer that on mine was loose and next to useless

steering bush
I have used a jubilee clip as my first idea was to drill a hole & put a screw in, that worked fine but I had to move the column & so lost the
hole.
Jubilee will act like the spring clip & it doesn't catch anything.
I have put a secondary bush on as I use the steering wheel as a lever to get out.
The second one is in the engine bay, supplied by robin hood so no matter what I will have a bush giving the support needed

Thanks guys i had tried to stop it moving with silicone sealant but failed miserably. I think i'll try a jubilee clip and see how that goes.

Jubilee clips is traditional. Works fine (IME).

You can use a self aligning bearing like the one illustrated on the NWRhocar site
here. I have one fitted, nice solution but ? slight overkill perhaps.
