Viento + Chevy
Is anyone building a Viento with Chevy V8 power?
If so are you using a Tremec box or can a T5 handle it?
What about a diff? Is the LSD from an XR4x4 up to the job?
I was planning a zetec powered velocity but I am getting more and more tempted by a V8 Viento. I love the sound and torque of a V8. but perhaps not
the weight of a Chevy V8.

Viento V8
Hi Doc.
We have a customer who is building a Viento with a Chevy lump.
He is using an Auto box, however we feel that a Gettrag 5 speed or Tremec. The T5 would be ok depending on the BHP of the engine.
The Diff should be a Cossi or a Granada Scorpio Cossi. The LSD out of 4x4 will do, however it is again down to the BHP of the engine.

I won't be able to build for a while due to having a 2 week old son and my best friends locost being built in my garage but maybe next year!
How heavy is a Viento with a 300bhp Chevy and Tremec transmission likely to be?
