To wide to go in between the original mounts. The bottom hose outlet of the radiator and radiator fan switch touches the chassis.Tnaks Les

Hi, can you put your approx location in your profile, as it will help others to help you.

Cant help on the Velocity, I'm a Viento man myself.

You need to adapt the brackets you have or
Make new ones for the radiator and bolt them to the originals or
Cut the old ones off and weld new ones to the chassis.

There are many ways to skin a cat and with kit cars as you will find out every problem is specific to your car but can be solved with a bit of lateral thinking

A photo speaks a thousand words so your first task is to work out how to post photos on this forum which is much harder than most jobs you will have to do on your car

There's a number of different POLO rads, all got the similar vw 121.253 part no., but the last letter differentaites them. I've bought most by mistake.

Some are thicker as well, 34mm vs 23mm.

The Valeo catalogue I have lists the 430x322 and the 380x322 as both having been fitted in the 81-86 and 86-90, 1.05 and 1.3 Polo's.

Valeo no. 883818 for the narrower, and 883819 for the wider. These are 34mm core rads.

Cheers,
Nev.
