Wilwood Powerlite pads?
Can anyone recommend a decent set of front pads for wilwood Powerlite calipers?
Pretty sure I have wilwood smart pads, which do stop the car, but don't really have any bite from cold or hot.
Anyone had the same problem and upgraded pads??

Ditto with the smart pads just no initial bite
i moved over to mintex can't remember the part numbers but a few use them on here
edtided to add it's the 1144

Mintex 1144s but I do find the squeal a lot

Wilwood Polymatrix E's (Poly-E's) are what I used for my MK Busa on the road, far superior (imo) than 1144s, but others disagree - so its
all personal preference
Now using Poly-A's, on the Spire

I fitted mintex 1144 pads to my striker very happy with them .

Think I'm going to try the 1144s, they've got to be better than what I've got already. The wilwood smart pads I currently have also
don't give a great pedal feel. Will these pads change this at all??

I use the poly-A pads and would deffo recommend them. Lots of stopping power, and I've never experienced any overheating or fade with them.
Even when stamping on the brake pedal as hard as I can on the track slowing down from 120mph for a chicane. They occasionally squeal when cold but it
seems to be when lightly braking at slow speeds

So far I've tried:
- Mintex 1144: quite good.
- Mintex 1155: when the 1144s wore out thought I'd try something different. Didn't like the feel - I think they weren't getting hot
enough to start working properly given the weight of the car. So these are for sale if anyone wants to see how they get on with them.
- Hawk DTC-30: haven't tried on track yet but they feel really good on road, best so far. However I think they are probably going to get through
discs very very quickly.

i'm on my 3rd set of DTC-30's and the discs are still lasting ok, and they weren't new when i first went to the hawks.

The hawk is a good pad! But in my opinion the pf01 is far superior

Definately in the dynalite as that's what I use them on. As for the powerlites I'm not too sure Richard.
But mr lane at techcraft will certainly know! And lighten your wallet at same time

Sorry to revive an old discussion.
My pads run out at Mallory on Friday. It seemed a very hard track for braking. Lots of going and stopping!
Anyways, I fancied trying the Hawk DTC-30 as discussed here. I cant find a supplier though. Where do you guys get them from?
Note that I have Powerlites and these are a different pad pattern from other Willwoods.
Also I may consider pf01 as Daniel mentioned or Polymatrix A \ E as yellowcab mentioned.
Note that these are for TRACK use only. I expect to warm them up, and I am the last of the late brakers!!
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!
