depends what other gubbins you wanted on it. id guess around 550-600kgs. you could make it lighter if you wanted with race parts ie light alloys and
plastic/f'glass seats etc.

I'm interested in this weight issue. I have a Stuart Taylor with Crossflow, and the weight at the SVA was 810kg including driver. If I take
say 95kg out for me (I'm tall not fat!), that leaves 715kg.
So how come my locost is so lardy?
I've got placcy seats, live axle, ally panels, etc but i do have sierra front braking.
Any ideas welcome.
Mark

Bike engined racecar
According to a post a few pages ago Luego have a race car with a bike engine that weighs in at 470kg including fuel.
Even allowing for the extra 100kg ish for the pinto it still makes your car sounds a bit of a heavyweight?

a bit of a heavy weight
I know - currently I'm scratching my head. I've got a feeling the scales were wrong (but this was at the SVA weighbridge) as they were
packed in when i went for my retest.
I am going to open a new thread to open the discussion up.
Cheers.
