Grant a question for you!
Grant,
Another thread on this forum has pointed out the dangers of using rivnuts to secure the brake master cylinders to the pedal box (see
http://forum.locostbuilders.co.uk/xmb/viewthread.php?tid=4905 from page two onward)
Can you please let us have your "company line" on this matter as I believe you too use the same fixings as that shown in the original
posters picture.

Mine didn't come with fastenings of any kind - had to drill and bolt the pedals in myself

Mine came with the Ø38mm m/c hole + 2 off Ø10mm fixing holes, no threaded bushes.

Maybe ours was a "special"
It came with gold coloured 8mm rivnuts. To play on the safe side we are going to use longer bolts for the m/c's and then put a lock nut on the
pedal box side. That should hold it all in place and not put any strain on the rivnut threads.

I was excluding the holes for the master cylinders - mine had those too!

Had a closer look at the fasteners on our pedal box on Saturday and they are definately a rivnut varient. They look brass but I doubt that they are.
They were definately fitted by Luego as we've not touch that part at all, yet!

Pedal box
Hi guys. The rivnuts are fine as long as you use a spring washer to lock the boly off. If you are worried do as andyd has.
Best wishes and enjoy your builds, The Luego Team.
