MK2 escort s,rack ???
still got a prob with the down link ben rang me back to say the down link was correct and that the sierra s,rack out put splin and the MK2 escort
s,rack out put splin are the same size ? is this corect
i got my s,rack from rallydesign it is a 2.4 quick rack (part num RD816) can any one con ferm the out put splin specs please my rack on the car is
12mm and the sierra rack is 16mm
i did buy a group4 stearing coupling at the same time as the rack so dose it look like ill be moding them to be come one

The manual sierra steering rack is the same as the mk2 escort but the power steering sierra is differant.

Standard Sierra downlink fits the mk 2 splines OK . IIRC its 14mm? although I'm not certain . I would have thought the pinion on the 2.4 rack
was the same as a standard rack

i said that to ben i cant see R,D making a rack that wont fit a stock MK2 escort thats the hole ider is to pull 1 off and put the Q,R on.
the UJ that came with the down link is the same size/shape as the UJ i tock off the XR4X4I iam breaking that has PAS
ill be ringing ben tomo

P,S the brakes off the XR4X4I are for sale if any one is intrested thay dont fit my car cos ive used cosworth hubs

i can send you a sierra downlink that fits my rack, so you can try it on yours, then you will know if its the downlink or your rack.
