Polo Rad - how have velocity boys fitted it?

i received my polo rad today... been trail fitting it but not sure how to fit it...

to use the escort rad, the brackets mount it at an angle - the polo rad is much smaller so im wondering if i should cut the brackets off and fit the polo rad vertical and on my own mounts...

what are peoples views on this? has anyone got any velocity ( or other for that matter ) pictures??

Don't have any pics (yet), but - I mounted mine by drilling two new holes through the L/H original mount plate on the chassis to match the two mount holes in the rad, tapping the rad mount holes to accept 5mm bolts, and then manufactured two aluminium 'arms' out of flat bar to extend inboard for the R/H side to meet the two mount holes in that side of the rad, again tapping the two mount holes in the rad to accept 5mm bolts.

This moves the rad over to the L/H side of the nosecone a bit, allowing room for the bottom and top hoses on the R/H side.

Get some pics for you tomorrow if I can.

On the same note, I had to get an extra bleed point mounted on the R/H top corner to bleed the rad - there is an existing one on the rad but it ended up in the bottom R/H corner on my installation - for the life of me I cannot remember why it had to be mounted that way.....

Does this make sense?

5mm shank - used a tap into the plastic mount holes in the rad.

Get some pics tomorrow.

It should also be noted that it's best mount then on something to absorb vibration such as rubber. They dont tend to like vibration very much if solidly mounted.
