seat harness bolt thread

hi,

whats the thread of the threaded tubes in the roll bar that the harness bolt on to?

i need to clean them out with a tap.

The normal seat belt fixing thread is 7/16"UNF.

It probably will be 7/16 UNF. BUT some racing harnesses are now using 8mm bolts. Only trouble is SVA people say that the bolt has to be equivalent of 7/16 UNF so despite being good enough for F1 cars, 8mm bolts will fail SVA!!! LOL.....

the harness is a saebelt make, and the chassis is a velocity

Not always true! I've got Sabelts and mine are 8mm!!!!
