Help with Viento Suspension
Hi everyone, im having problems with my viento suspension, its not smooth so ive just whiped out one of the wishbones and removed one of the crush
tubes and given it a measure and it appears to be about 0.5mm to short.
What is the best way to sort this out?
Shims? (where from)
New crush tubes?
Many thanks
Tommy

Some people trim/machine the faces of the polly bush. Some use shims. Some make special taper spacers to replace the more normal/basic washer
approach.
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

have used spacers at the front and trimmed the bushes at the back as I got fed up of making spacers.

Lubricate them as much as you like , if the total width of the bushes is wider than the crush tube the bushes end up being "clamped"
which in turn stops the wishbone rotating . Possible cause of some of the wishbone failures that some people have had???
Forgot to say that I turned down the width of my bushes . Got fed up with jarring my spine every time I hit a bump and the noise was something else
. Long crush tube would be better but I sorted my suspension out one weekend and wasn't able to get any steel for the job
