Viento OTR

After a frustrating discussion with Borehamwood DVLA which resulted in my having to remove my Luego issued VIN and stamp in a DVLA issued one I am finally properly on the road. To be fair to DVLA I faxed back to them the confirmation of VIN change mid morning on Monday and my tax disk, registration number certificate and documents arrived Tuesday morning by recorded delivery.

Had my number plates made up yesterday evening and went for a fun but really quite chilly drive - great fun.

Now have to iron out the squeaks and rattles and fix a few issues that have shown up on the shakedown drives, like the fact that I have too much negative camber on the back and as a result the top of the tyres rub on the body sides under compression.

Great fun however and good to have finally got done - even if it is just in time for the cold weather.

Simon

Well done - I had problems with Borehamwood DVLA until I found out someone I knew had a son who worked there - it all went very smoothly after that!

Where are you based?

Nice one. Take it easy out there. The roads are greasy and these cars bite back.

he has a v8 in it too not really the kind of thing for damp mucky roads. I was out on my wee 125 and the back was sliding all over the place, wasn't much fun tbh
