i believe thats the canted over flat straight 4 , not the boxer engine .
wheres the clutch ? is it inside that cover ?
i know nothing about bikes !!

yes it is flat 4 and the clutch bolts on the flywheel one the end of the crank same as most cars as it was originaly a car type engine

Clutch looks like a car one bolted to the back of the crank.

Just check the rotation direction of the drive shaft output and remember that the drive shaft is not central to the crankshaft.
Grinnal scorpions use this engine and they get along quite nicely
