R1 Turbo, supercharger or nitrous?
I am looking to fit either a turbo, supercharger or fit nitrous to my carb'd R1 motor & would like some advice on the pro's & cons
of each in a bec?
Budget around 3-4k but would be nice to spend less
I have been looking at holeshot turbo kits & tts supercharger kits, but wondering if there is maybe a locost alternative?
Any help & advice would be much appreciated
Thanks,
Lee.

how can you run carbs on a boosted engine, surely you need an efi system, ecu, injection, tb's etc. as well as an array of sensors, boost, inlet
air temp, lambda, tps, map etc etc

no no my man,vac bike carbs=turbo d
1-build a air tight chanber for the carbs to suck thrugh 2 outlets from the chamber to the 2 inlets for the vac on the carbs"that preurerises
above the diafram, than the big charge inlet you have a 10mm pipe across it with a pilot hole in it,these 2 outlets go to the fuel breathers on the
carbs ,this presurerises the floot boles
im crap at spelling
jamie
mate all your gona need is
a carbed turbo fuel presher regulater from burtons
a turbo t25 or t3 i think the t3 might be to big
maniflud
air tight chamber
inj fuel pump
new heavy cluch
hoses
oil pump
i carnt think of anything else, theres bound to be somthing i missed

Supercharged R1 injection
Supercharged R1 will not produce as much HP as a Turbo. However the driving experience is very different. If it is for the road use it may not matter
but if you intend competing the charateristics of the power delivery are vital.Mine produced just over 200bhp at the rear wheels and feels like a
larger engined car to drive. It is frightening on the road as the car weighs just over 400kgs.Very reliable over 1k miles and apart from the
supercharger cost(Rotrex) the rest is straight forward.U2u if you need more information.

It's not impossible, but how feasible it is on an R1 in a BEC is the real question!
It's been done for years...
TURBO & SUPERCHARGING
If you would rather not do the work yourself then give this guy a call:
MB CUSTOMS
His name is Malc, number is:
01323 743 733
and he knows his bananas (to be fair he knows a lot about turboing bike engines too!) Oh and he's a spot on guy who calls a Spade, a Spade and
is a nice fella on top!

sh;t your pants
turbo well set up say 300bhp
+noz well i dont know much about it but lets add 100bhp=400bhp
400bhp+bec400kg=800bhp per tone,i think.
the word undriveable comes to mind!
i think you should just stick to a good turbo set up,spend 1/4 of your budget and save the noz for the drag strip!
you might need a cupple bags of sand over the back though!!
good luck

thats the sane problem i have with using inj,
im just gona start using my zx9r carbs as that link you gave me shows that it not hard to preshure the carbs, and there for cheaper than getting a
ecu.
when i have finished this project, then im gona go to a megasqurt, and bike tbs,and a stronger bottom end, then some big boost,
i have nerley got all the bits i need now,im gona use a decomp plate, witch i got in the post today.
i had a result getting,a 4x4intercooler,boost gauge,and a silly dump valve,all for 60quid.
so the turbo dream gos on,
not far now
