Reservoir Pot Height

Good evening all

What height should remote reservoir pots be mounted at?
Does it matter that much? Or does it need some careful thinking at all? Oras long as nothing fouls against them then it's free game?

Cheers Graham

IM pretty sure it doesnt matter, i mean on most cars the resevoir is straight into the MC. As long as the connecting pipe is clear and you can get to the resevoir to fill up etc then i dont think it makes any difference

Top of fluid level in reservoir should be the highest point in the system - bear in mind the level will drop as the pads wear so actually the minimum mark on the reservoir should be the highest point. Even then I'd allow a bit of extra height if you can.
HTH.
Cheers, Pewe

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I thought that but wondered if the height would have any effect of stopping fluid draining back from the calipers.
