Finally done it!
Iv started work on the electrics 
Iv now got a working horn and digi dash 
Just a couple of questions though, should the digi dash be fused and is it on to have the start button go to a relay connecting the battery and
starter motor but have the motor and solenoid powered by the same wire?
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

When you say relay do you mean
1 a relay (20 to 40 amps usually)and to the starter motor itself NO NO NO
OR
2 the "relay" actually being a starter solenoid ( 150 plus amps) OK
OR
3 to the relay then to the coil side of
the pre engaged type starter solenoid OK
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

I did actually mean number 1 
The starter needs two wires, one to the motor and one to the solenoid. The only other way i can think of doing it is to have a permanant live going to
the starter (not too keen on that) and another wire going from the battery to the ignition switch and then the starter switch (via position 2) and
then to the solenoid.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

T'is standard practice to have a direct feed from battery to starter solenoid (and a very thick cable). The solenoid then acts as the relay
switching the feed to the actual motor.

The Digidash harness comes supplied with a small inline fuse.
