Suspension travel

Does anyone know the most likely suspension travel for a independant rear Locost before it bottoms out i.e. full bump and full rebound (provided the correct springs are used) cheers

I think the usual to aim for is 3" overall travel, with ride height set such that you have 1" for droop and 2" bump.

Disclaimer: That's based on what I have picked up from this forum rather than any hands-on knowledge or experience.
